CBRE has announced the appointment of Hugh Macdonald as the head of capital advisors for Asia Pacific (Apac). With over 20 years of experience in the banking industry, Macdonald brings deep expertise in investment banking, as well as the real estate, gaming, leisure, and lodging sectors. He joins CBRE from Deutsche Bank, where he previously held the position of head of investment banking coverage and advisory for Australia and New Zealand. Macdonald will be reporting to Leo van den Thillart, global head of investment banking, and Greg Hyland, head of capital markets for Apac. He will begin his role in Sydney and will relocate to Singapore in the first quarter of 2025.
